"One of the ladies in our church quilting group brought this savory potato soup to a meeting," recalls Anna Mayer from Ft. Branch, Indiana. It's easy to assemble in the morning, then cook all day. Cream cheese and a sprinkling of bacon provide richness.

easy, cheap, and simple to put in the crockpot. only issue i had was a cream cheese doesn't incorporate completely and there can be lumpy.

TI LOVE this recipe, it is so quick and easy to make and one of our favorite recipes, I make it on on the stove and its done in no time. I use real bacon bits its so much easier then cooking my own bacon. This is a must try.

Amazing recipe!! My whole family loved it! I added about 2 cups of chopped, fully-cooked ham instead of bacon, and topped with chopped green onions! Very good recipe!

My family LOVES this recipe! I made it at a Craft Retreat this weekend up in the mountains for 30 women and it was a HIT! I'm now sharing with all of them who want to make it! You can also add a couple ears of roasted fresh corn of the cob and some celery...and its wonderful! I have also thrown in some sweet potatoes for color and great flavor....I top mine with cheese too!

This soup was good but in my opinion a bit bland. I added cracked pepper and salt to my bowl after tasting it and that's just what it needed. I would still make it again but add more seasonings to it.
