Nectarine Blueberry Crumble Recipe

Rating 4

A peachy use of the season's bounty is Marilyn Schroeder's fruitful dessert. "I bring this juicy crumble to get-togethers of all kinds," she writes from Alexandria, Minnesota. "Crushed macaroons make a delightfully different topping for the blueberries and nectarines. For a special treat, serve it with low-fat frozen yogurt."

it was tasty but watery

We had an abundance of nectarines we needed to use, and this was a good way to do that. The combination of blueberries and nectarines was delicious and pretty, and the macaroons added just enough sweetness to the topping. Wish I had twice as many nectarines now so I could make more...a trip to the fruit stand tomorrow!
