I tried these using the mini peanut butter cups rather than kisses. They were great

I was looking for a cheap and easy recipe to feed a larger group and this really fit the bill! And it appeals to almost everyone. I used Hershey Hugs but I can see any of the new "gourmet" Kisses flavors doing really well. Next time I may try poking them into the brownie point first.

Perfect bite size brownies! Super easy to make and much less messy than regular brownies...especially for the kids. I did notice that the kisses melted and spread even after the 10 minutes cooling. I cooled my second batch for about 20 minutes.

I baked these for a block party, and glad I had made a double batch! Everyone wanted to know who brought the yummy little brownies!! Many request for the recipe - moist and makes an attractive presentation.

I make these all the time (had posted the recipe from TOH on the old BB last year) and use the different types of kisses.   At Christmas I used the red and white striped ones and they looked very festive.   I refrigerate the batter for about an hour (have also held it overnite with good results) and it makes the brownies even "fudgier" but the best part - the batter goes into the small mini cups/tins much neater without the dribbles.   I've started doing this with anything that goes into muffin cups - regular - and especially the minis.

People really like these - they look great on a dessert table and they are much neater to serve and eat than regular brownies.  And - they taste great!!!   Great for school parties, too.
