  • Prep: 15 min Cook: 16 min
  • Yield: 12 Servings
15 16 31

Ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups (10-oz. pkg.) Nestlé® Toll House® Dark Chocolate Morsels, divided
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Nestlé® Toll House® Baking Cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper or lightly grease.
  • Melt 2/3 cup morsels in microwave-safe bowl on MEDIUM-HIGH (70%) power for 30 seconds; STIR. Morsels may retain some of their original shape. Microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until morsels are melted. Set aside.
  • Sift flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt into medium bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add melted chocolate and mix well. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended, about 1 minute. Add flour mixture, mixing just until blended. Stir in remaining 1 cup morsels. Drop dough by level 1/4-cup measure 3 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets.
  • Bake for 16 to 18 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out with moist crumbs and the tops have a cracked appearance. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely. Yield: 12 cookies.

If you crave chocolate, make these cookies! Fantastic chocolate taste and easy to make. Everyone thought they were from a bakery. Those dark chocolate chips are yummy! Definitely a new goto recipe.

Chocolate cookies with dark chocolate chips. Hard to beat that! These were so good and easy. I think I will make these instead of the Chocolate Crinkles I usually make for Christmas. Much easier! Although, I think I will make them smaller to fit in with the rest of the Christmas baking.

I am becoming a convert to baking with dark chocolate, thanks to recipes like this one. They are rich and chocolately, with just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely a recipe I am planning to make again, and am using for the Cookies Across America campaign this month.

I can't believe how good these cookies are, and how easy they were to make. I'll have to make another batch next week, because these will not last long!

These were the best chocolate, chocolate chip cookies I've ever eaten. I made them with semi-sweet morsels instead of the dark chocolate ones because my husband doesn't like dark chocolate. They were a huge hit with everybody. People were even saying that Paradise Bakery had nothing on me. Wow! such a compliment! These are the best cookies ever.

My chocoholic friends loved this recipe also!! How can you beat chocolate with chocolate!! Again, the new dark chocolate chips were great. Many folks think it isn't really chocolate, unless it is dark chocolate

Oh my goodness...these are delicious and very easy to make! I made them today for Cookies Across America, and my own kids have eaten more than their fair share! They love the crispy outside - perfect for holding on to while they dipped it into a big glass of cold milk!

These cookies were definitely different with the dark chocolate chips. After baking i made the mistake of leaving them on the counter to cool, family was home...Surprise they kept disappearing..hmm definitely a keeper!
