Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 can (3 ounces) chow mein noodles
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows

Directions

  • Melt butterscotch chips an peanut butter in the top of a double boiler. Fold in the chow mein noodles, then marshmallows. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased waxed paper. Cool. Yield: 2 dozen.

Nutritional Facts 1 serving (2 each) equals 191 calories, 12 g fat (5 g saturated fat), 1 mg cholesterol, 94 mg sodium, 19 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 4 g protein.

These haystacks I make at Christmas time, with one thing different....I make them with milk chocolate. Very good!

I had something with this name, I thought this was the same. The taste was similar,but the marshmellows made it feel strange to eat. I wonder if there is something else to add besides the marshmellows.Maybe rice krispies?

i used ramen noodles...bad idea. too hard. i am going to try them again with the right noodles and peanuts. i'll let you know how it turned out.

I remember mom making these. Starrlette was my mom...she died in 1999. Thanks for posting this recipe brings back sweet memories!

I love these. My Mom used to make them when I was little. She died when I was 13 and since she kept all her receipes in her head we haven't had them since. Thank you so much for posting this receipe.
