"As a diabetic, I tend to stick with tried-and-true recipes," Barbara Severson writes from Tularosa, New Mexico. "I added spices to a well-like oatmeal bread for this loaf and it’s the best my bread machine has ever turned out. I think it tastes best warm with tea or coffee and whipped topping."

This was a great recipe. I will be adding more ginger, and less cloves. The cloves seemed to take over the taste.

I've made this a couple of times already this fall. The bread has a nice subtle gingerbread and molasses flavor. We like to eat it fresh out of the breadmaker with butter and honey.
