Really good. I've made it twice. The recipe definately means confectioners sugar. When making the filling just keep beating it until it thickens. It takes awhile.

blueridge435 Is there something missing in your recipe? Perhaps using prepared cake mix for the layers? Patricia J

I am not saying to change the granulated sugar called for in the filling to confectioner's sugar. Take Try2cook4fun's advice and chill the filling while baking your cake. Then, after adding the remaining ingredients, beat for a good 5 minutes to make a light, fluffy filling in which the sugar is completely dissolved. I would change my rating of this recipe to 5-stars if it would let me.
In defense of Lenetoo, there is NO confectioner's sugar listed in the filling ingredients, sillygirl. It calls for 'sugar', which normally means granulated sugar in a recipe. Confectioner's sugar would make it thicker.
