The flavorful filling at the center of these yummy candies tastes like genuine chocolate chip cookie dough...without the worry of raw eggs. That's what makes them so appealing. Plus, they're easy to make. -Lanita Dedon Slaughter, Louisiana

These are amazing--I have been making these since they first appeared in TOH. I always get compliments on these and everyone asks for the recipe! At potlucks, the platter always comes home empty!!

This impressed my dad who is a pastry chef. I had to tell many people that there was no eggs in the truffle because most people thought it was actual cookie dough.

We loved these. My husband couldn't stop eating them.

WOW these were really tasty. For a different twist I left out the nuts and replaced the chocolate chips with butterscotch chips. It gave it a buttery sweet flavor around the cookie dough. Either way, these are a hit!

Excellent! These truffles won 1st Place in a local Chocolate Festival. I coat them in milk chocolate instead of dark chocolate; otherwise I followed the recipe exactly as written! I get requests for these quite often.

This has become one of our family's favorites! I make 2-3 batches every holiday season, and our sons and their friends line up to get their own personal supply of them. We LOVE them! Delicious! Great recipe!

These truffles are amazing. They taste just like cookie dough. I left out the walnuts and used a heaping 1/2 cup of chocolate chips for a more pure chocolate chip cookie dough flavor. I only needed 1 pound of the candy coating (I didn't make decorative drizzles on top of the truffles). I used Merckens dark chocolate candy coating, which was very good. Everyone who's tried them loves them.

I've made these as Christmas presents for several years and everyone raves about them! Several suggestions, however -- unless you love walnuts, skip them; and always use the best chocolate you can find (Ghirardelli or Cadbury are my personal faves). Hershey's and the chocolate melts are too waxy and have a grainier texture. I also prefer the taste when dark brown sugar, rather than light brown sugar, is used. Yum!

For someone who really loves raw cookie dough, these truffles were absolute perfection - until they were dipped in the chocolate coating. Then they became too rich, and the extra chocolate actually detracted from the cookie dough "experience". I may opt to go the uglier route and not coat them at all, to have a better-tasting final product.
