Tiny Cherry Tarts Recipe
  • Prep: 30 min. Cook: 15 min.
  • Yield: 20 Servings

Ingredients

  • 4 oz. cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup frozen whipped topping thawed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 can cherry pie filling (you won't use it all)
  • 1 refrigerated pastry

Directions

  • In a small bowl mix the first four ingredients with a hand mixer. Set aside in the refrigerator.
  • Unroll pastry on a lightly floured surface and roll it a little thinner. Use a star cookie cutter to cut as many stars as you can get from the pastry. Gently press pastry stars into mini muffin pans. Bake at 350 about 15 minutes until light brown. Cool on racks.
  • Just before serving, put a teaspoon of cream cheese filling into each star. Top with one cherry from the pie filling. Yield: serves 20
