My aunt used to make this salad for family get togethers and the bowl was always empty by the end of the gathering. I carried on the tradition by fine tuning the recipe and it has become a favorite for my family and friends now too.

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef, cooked and cooled
1 head of iceberg lettuce, shredded
1 cup chopped tomato
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup colby and jack shredded cheese blend
1 cup crushed Nacho cheese taco chips

Dressing:
1/4 cup white vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon garlic salt

Directions

In a large serving bowl, mix the first 5 ingredients. In a separate bowl mix the dressing ingredients until well blended. Just before serving add the taco chips and dressing.
