Raisin Cream Pie Recipe
  • Prep: 10 min. Cook: 60 min.
  • Yield: 8 Servings

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups golden raisins
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs slightly beaten
  • pastry for two-crust pie
  • Sugar for top

Directions

  • Pre heat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 9 inch pie plate with pastry. Combine raisins, sour cream, sugar and eggs. Pour raisin mixture into pastry. Top with remaining pastry. Sprinkle with sugar. Bake one hour or until filling is set. Cool before serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator. Yield: serves 8

    Notes: 

    This recipe came from a cook book printed in 1908. Now that's classic! The book is fun to read and gives a glimpse of life a century ago. The pie is rich and delicious.
