Directions:

~~ Battered Green Beans ~~

(I was not sure how this would turn out so I made 1/2 of the original recipe adjusting some ingredient portions as follows)

   3/4 cups flour
   1 tsp Baking Powder
   1/4-1/2 tsp salt
1/2 egg (I beat it with a fork and removed 1/2 by guesstimate)
   1/2 cup milk ( I used 2 percent)

Full length frozen Green Beans -Leave frozen for handling and also they coated well.

   Combine the first 3 ingredients.

***I had purchased thin full length frozen green beans at Aldi for only about $1.35 a bag. I decided to leave them frozen.

I added about 1 1/2 cups of the frozen beans into the flour mixture then stirred in the egg and milk until blended.I removed each frozen bean singly from the batter and dropped it into about one half inch hot oil (I did not touch one bean to the next)I turned each bean when lightly browned..Very quick , maybe 30 second or so each side or according to your preference.
Drain on paper towels. Lightly salt.
   Serve with desired dip.
I used a Blue Cheese and a Ranch dip.

VERY, very Nice Recipe. As Janie mentioned mushrooms should work and IMO ,onion rings should too.
What a keeper. In my files already.

   Thanks Janie!
