Brown Rice Bread Recipe

Prep: 30 min. Cook: 30 min.

Yield: 0 Servings

Ingredients

2 c brown rice (cooked til very tender)
1/2 c cornmeal
6-7 c flour
2 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 pkg yeast
2 c warm water (ll5-120 degrees)
1/4 c butter or margarine
1/2 c honey

Directions

Combine flour, cornmeal, salt & soda
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add butter & honey, stir until smooth. Add rice. Gradually add flour. Knead 6-8 minutes.
Place in greased bowl & let rise until double. Punch down, knead 1 minute, let rest 15 minutes.
Place in 2 8x4 in loaf pans. Let rise until almost double.
Bake 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until they test done. Yield: serves 0

Notes:
