This recipe came from a dear friend in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where we lived for many years. Since it’s warm, wonderful and non-alcoholic, we’ve even served it at church. It’s also perfect for a holiday open house.

I made this for Christmas day and it was delicious! I thought it could be a little sweeter so I put in 6 tablespoons of brown sugar instead of 2 and it was just right for us.

We had this on Christmas morning and everyone loved it! I made way too much and have been enjoying it on my own... I'm going to be sad when I run out!

this was a pretty close match to the wassil I drank years ago at the Christmas tree farm we went to every year! I just added a bit more cloves and nutmeg.
