My 8 year-old daughter's favorite candy is Almond Joy so I pulled out this recipe to make with her. So simple she was able to do most of it herself and the result was impressive!

I love the combination of coconut, almonds, and chocolate, and these candies are such a treat. I got carried away with chopping the almonds in my blender, and ended up with ground almonds instead. I went ahead and used them in the recipe.....these turned out delicious! I did find that the chocolate coating seemed to stay a little sticky. I may use chocolate candy coating next time.
