These are a hit with my co-workers around Halloween. The cookies do spread out a bit during baking, so I add a spoonful more flour. This helps stop the spreading without changing the yummy taste. Excellent Halloween cookie!

It was fairly simple and turned out great. They do spread out a lot when you bake them so leave a lot of room. I would probably make the logs longer next time so that my cookies wouldn't turn out so big. Easy and fun and good!

These cookies were cute and delicious. However, it was kind of time consuming to color all the dough and shape it into the logs. Slicing the cookies was definitely the easy part! This recipe is also in a T.O.H. cookbook and it says to cut them into 1/4 inch slices. I like the ornament idea and might try it this Christmas.

I'm also confused by the 8" long logs. Should it have been 18" long. The cookies were fun to make, but were the size of my palm.

My all time favorite cookie!!! I have colored it like a round ornament and made it for Christmas as well!

I would never have tried these without the video. It was so easy. They look cute and taste great. Follow the directions in the video about 1/4 in slices. I use liquid food coloring and they were pale. I bought the paste colors to remake them for Halloween. Thanks, TOH!

I have made the dough but am confused. The recipe says to make two 8" logs and cut them into 1/2" slices. That would only give you 32 cookies. The recipe says makes 5 dozen (60 cookies). Should the cookies be sliced 1/4" instead? One half inch seems excessive for a cookie.

I've made these many times and they are always a hit!
