I love a thick, chunky soup, and this fits the bill! Add a salad, warm rolls, and laugh at the cold outside!

Easy and delicious. I've stopped using soy sauce and instead use 1 tsp. of Worcestershire Sauce in this recipe. Also, I use two 14 oz. cans of beef broth and have cut back on the frozen vegetables. In addition, I salt and pepper the meat when browning and add a handful of uncooked macaroni to the soup and cook until ingredients are tender. It's the molasses that make this soup so outstanding. Thanks for sharing.

Delicious! I added a little extra hot water rinsed in the tomato sauce can to make it soupier. I also added a bit of brown sugaras I had no molasses. And, I had some leftover vegetables from a beef stew in the fridge. You guessed it--they stretched this soup so we'll have more tomorrow.

This is delicious! I change a few things around but we love it here!I triple the liquids, rather then the mixed veggies I use fresh carrots and frozen peas, I use brown sugar instead of molasses, and I add small pasta noodles to make it spread between my family and have leftovers!

This was great. I did add a little bit more beef broth as other reviewers suggested because it just wasn't "soupy" enough with the recommended amount. It had good flavor and was super easy/quick. Definitely will make again.

This is great. I did customize it some. I used two 14-1/2 ounces cans of light beef broth, 3/4 teaspoon salt substitute instead of soy sauce and added 1-1/2 cups cooked barley. I also left out the molasses. It's hard to find a recipe that can be trimmed of sodium and still be tasty. Maybe next time I'll try adding some pepper and basil also.

Very yummy! My sweetie is a truck driver and likes good 'ol home cooking so he was the real test and I knew I didn't dare tell him prior to him eating it that molasses was in it. He was on the phone with a co-worker while he was eating it and was actually raving to his buddy on how good it was! This recipe is a definate keeper!
