Stuff apples with a yummy filling, then slice the fruit into rings to make eye-appealing after-school snacks. The filling is an irresistible combination of creamy peanut butter, sweet honey, miniature chocolate chips and raisins. —Miriam Miller, Thorp, Wisconsin

I made this dish for my son as an afternoon snack and he loved it. I will say, however, I need to add an apple corer to my kitchen supply...was a little hard w/o it.

Really easy and really good! I've also made with granola in place of the choc chips and raisins. For a class treat where I couldn't use peanut butter because of allergies, I used melted caramel and granola.

My crew are not into raisins so I replaced them with sunflower seeds, they like the extra crunch too. Also awesome idea for appetizers. Thanks

A great snack for the entire family. I like to make up a batch of the filling on hand so I can make these for my kids at a moment's notice.

Oh! Almost forgot...I'd be interested in hearing how the nutella in place of peanut butter turned out -- or any other PB substitutes. No peanut products allowed in granddaughter's school.
Quite tasty! Marcia, perhaps you didn't chill them long enough? Mine sliced fine. A light brushing with lemon juice also keeps the apples from turning brown.

It was good but when I sliced the the filling just fell out. It was frustrating and we ended up smearing it on the slices which was a mess.
