Easy Cupcake Tree

Easy Cupcake Tree To create your own inexpensive cupcake tree like the one on the cover of the December/January 2009 magazine, follow these simple steps:

What You Will Need:
6-in. Plexiglas circle or flat plate
8-in. Plexiglas circle or flat plate
12-in. Plexiglas circle or flat plate
4 small bowls, juice glasses or ramekins (slightly taller than your cupcakes)
7 feet of thin ribbon
Glue gun with glue sticks

Directions:
Run a thin bead of glue around perimeter of Plexiglas circle. Press ribbon to edge. Repeat with other circles.

Invert the largest of the small bowls. Run a thin bead of hot glue around bottom of bowl; center 12-in circle on top of the inverted bowl. Run a thin bead of glue around the lip of the next bowl; invert and center on top of 12-in. circle. Run thin bead of glue around bottom of that bowl and center 8-in. circle on top. Do the same with third bowl and 6-in. circle. Run a thin bead of glue around lip of last bowl; invert and center atop 6-in. circle. Allow glue to fully set before moving or placing cupcakes on the tree.
