Ghost Cake

Doree Tateoka of Salt Lake City, Utah, covered a small 5-inch round cake in pale orange fondant and piped a shell border in white buttercream. For the ghost, she modeled a cone-shaped body in white fondant about 3 inches high, then draped it with a circle of white fondant about 5 inches in diameter. The ghost's eyes and mouth are black fondant ovals. Using orange, white and brown fondant, Doree modeled a variety of pumpkins and leaves to complete the decoration.

Monster Mansion Cake

Brooke Turner of Elizabethton, Tennessee made this Monster Mansion cake that's really a scream! Brooke used 12, 10, 8 and 6-inch baking pans, butter cream frosting and fondant for the cake. Gingerbread cookies frosted to look like Dracula, a mummy, Frankenstein and more populate the creepy staircase. You can make your own critters using our Monster Cutout Cookies recipe.
