Special Memories
For as long as I can remember, I have received Taste of Home as a gift from my grandma, Vera Koester. We used to share recipes that we found in the magazine and talk about different articles. The magazine was so much fun for both of us!
Last week, Grandma died. It was so sad for me. The day after the funeral, I returned home and went to the mail box to check my mail. There was my Taste of Home magazine. I picked it up, hugged it and cried. I knew that this magazine would always connect me to Grandma and be special to me. Thank you for making such a great magazine that young and old can share together.

True Colors
Last year I hosted a Memorial Day dinner. In addition to patriotic decor, I was inspired by Taste of Home to try some patriotic food items as well. For the chip and dip tray, I set out a variety of red, white and blue chips with fresh homemade salsa. For dessert, I dipped fresh strawverries in white dipping chocolate and then dipped the ends in blue sugar sprinkles. Thanks for a super magazine!

Fruitful Fun
My daughter Cadence (left) and her two cousins Angelica (center) and Moryah (right) have been busy enjoying many creative food projects from Taste of Home. Recently they made the fruit platter pictured in the Oct/Nov issue, adapting it for spring by adding pink and bright colored flowers. They are not only creating food displays but wonderful memories that will last a long time.
