Butter was the high-fat culprit in this hot dish, so our staff deleted more than half of it from the sweet potato mixture. They also used fat-free milk and egg substitute to trim down the filling.
The butter in the topping was decreased only slightly because it gives the nutty topping its caramelized crunch. However, to save on fat, the amounts of the topping ingredients were reduced.
