When I was looking for something to motivate me to use our treadmill, I turned to books on tape.
I'm an avid reader, but since I have three children and work full-time, I usually don't have the luxury of sitting down with a book. So I only allow myself to listen to my current book on tape while I'm exercising. This keeps me so motivated that I sometimes can't wait to get up in the morning and hit the treadmill just to hear what happens next!
I've been walking on the treadmill for 4 years now, and
this has been the best encouragement I've ever found. I never have an excuse such as bad weather to prevent me from spending at least 30 minutes on the treadmill listening to a good book.
