Cooler Ice Blocks

Here’s a handy tip you can use when you go camping or on a picnic. Instead of using ice cubes in your cooler to keep the contents chilled, fill a clean gallon milk jug (or two half-gallon jugs) with water and freeze. The blocks of ice don’t melt as quickly, and when they do melt, the water stays in the container and doesn’t get your food wet. —Kim Kraft, Cincinnati, Ohio
