Taking Hot Dishes to Potlucks
Liquids, gravies and sauces are easily kept hot in a wide-mouth thermos. Casseroles and meat dishes can be wrapped in one of the new insulated carrying cases that keep foods warm for short periods of time.
Be sure to follow directions for recommended maximum holding times for these carriers to keep your food safe.
If there’s a stove available at your destination, cook, chill and transport food in a cooler for safe traveling, then reheat upon arrival.
