To keep multiple dishes cold at picnics and other warm-weather gatherings, I use a large flat plastic storage container like the kind you can fit under a bed. I fill it with ice and nestle in the dishes that would otherwise spoil sitting out in the warm air. This keeps the food safe and tasting its best, too. —Joyce Amber, Oelwein, Iowa
