“I created my own nonstick coating to grease cake pans,” says Fran Curl. “I combine 1/4 cup each of flour, vegetable oil and shortening. I stir the mixture well and keep it in my refrigerator,” adds the Mooresville, Indiana baker. “When it’s time to coat a pan, I just brush on the homemade coating.”
