Mighty Meaty Meal

I keep leftover cooked beef, chicken and pork in a heavy-duty resealable plastic bag in the freezer. When the bag is full, I thaw and dice the meat. I add it to sliced onions and mushrooms that I’ve sauteed in a little margarine. Then I stir in gravy prepared from a packaged mix. I let this simmer for 20 to 30 minutes before ladling it over cooked rice or noodles. This quick fix is so delicious, I’ve even served it to company. —Jean Maeder, Garden Ridge, Texas
