Kitchen Sink Soup

Keep a large resealable plastic container in your freezer to store leftovers. After meals, add leftover meat, potatoes, vegetables, rice, noodles, gravies and sauces—almost anything except dairy-based items. When the container is full, empty it into a soup pot and add water. Season to taste with herbs and spices, adding broth and additional water if needed. This yields a wonderful “kitchen sink” soup, and you never end up with the same soup twice! —Darleen Schnabel, Calhan, Colorado
