Ham-It-Up Turnovers

Turn leftover ham into tasty turnovers by using refrigerated crescent roll dough. Mix finely chopped ham with shredded cheddar cheese, some diced red or green pepper, chopped onion, a little mustard and mayonnaise if you like. Place half of the crescent dough triangles on a lightly greased baking sheet and flatten; divide ham mixture among triangles. Top with remaining dough and pinch seams to seal. Bake in a 375° oven until golden brown. These sandwiches are great with a side of eggs for breakfast or with spinach and sliced pineapple for dinner. —Shirley Rocheleau, Hudson, Massachusetts
