Baked French Fries

My family loves French fries and steak fries, but we bake them to avoid all the fat from deep-frying. For every medium to large potato, we put a tablespoon of olive or canola oil in a resealable plastic bag. We put seasonings in the bag, then add the cut potatoes. After shaking the potatoes until they are well-coated, we place them on a baking sheet and bake them at 350° until they are brown and tender. They taste delicious—and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. You can also season them according to your taste buds. We love them sprinkled with Cajun seasoning or taco seasoning.—Lesa T., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
