How to Make Yeast Breads using Traditional Method

Heat liquid to 110° to 115° and check with a thermometer. Measure liquid, then pour into a large bowl. Add active dry yeast and stir until yeast is dissolved.

Add sugar, salt, fat, eggs (if using) and about half the flour. Beat with an electric mixer or by hand until smooth.

Gradually stir in enough of the remaining flour by hand to form a dough of the consistency stated in the recipe.
