Grilling With Ease

For easy grilled asparagus: Thread blanched or steamed asparagus onto parallel metal or soaked wooden skewers and grill, uncovered, over medium heat for 2 minutes on each side or until crisp-tender, turning once.

For perfect grilled onions: Thread 1/2-inch-thick onion rings onto metal or soaked wooden skewers. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Grill each skewer, directly over the heat and covered, for 15 to 20 minutes, turning once. Move off of the grill's hot side to indirect heat and cook 10 more minutes or until tender.
