Chilling Dip at Picnics

When serving dip on a hot day, it's important to keep it cool. If you don't have a ceramic dip set, use what you have on hand.

Fill a large glass or plastic serving bowl with ice cubes, crushed ice or ice packs. Fill a smaller bowl with dip and set on top of the ice. Replace the ice as it melts.

If you're taking the dip to an outing, put the dip in a small bowl (plastic is best for traveling because it won't break), cover with plastic wrap and put in a cooler. Assemble the ice-filled serving bowl when you get to the picnic.
