Chili Pepper Flowers

Step 1: Always be sure to wear rubber gloves when cutting and handling the seeds of chili peppers. Cut off point of pepper, leaving about 2-1/2 inches of pepper to work with.

Step 2: Using small scissors, cut slits 1/4 inch apart in the chili lengthwise, starting from the tip end and cutting back to within 1/2 inch of the stem end.

Step 3: Using the scissors, snip out the seeds and interior ribs of the peppers. Place in a bowl of ice water until the tops of the peppers curl, about 1 to 2 hours.
