What's the best way to tell if grilled meat or poultry is done?

Use a thermometer to check the internal temperature of your grilled item before the recommended cooking time is up. The internal temperature of chicken breasts should be 170°. Pork chops and roasts should reach 145°, let meat stand for 5 minutes before serving. For beef, the internal temperature should reach 145° for medium-rare, 160° for medium and 170° for well-done.
