Making an Orange Rose
TO ADD COLOR to any dessert platter, try your hand at an easy yet impressive orange rose. Just follow these steps:
Cut a very thin slice from bottom of orange and discard. Starting at the top of the orange, with a vegetable peeler, cut a continuous narrow strip of peel in a spiral fashion around the entire orange.
Starting at the end of the strip where you started, wrap the strip around itself to form a coil. Insert one or two toothpicks horizontally into the base to secure.
