You can turn mint, lemon or rose leaves into chocolate leaves and use them as a garnish on any dessert. First, wash the leaves and pat dry. Melt 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips and 1 tablespoon shortening. Brush evenly on the underside of the leaves. Chill until set, about 10 minutes. Apply a second coat; chill until set. Gently peel the leaf away from the chocolate. Cover and refrigerate chocolate leaves until ready to use.
