Select berries that are in dry unstained containers. Stained containers may indicate oversoft berries that are not freshly picked. Mold on berries spreads quickly. Never leave a moldy berry next to a good one.
I took this wonderful tart into school for a potluck that we had during homecoming. I work with 4th graders and we typically eat at staggered times starting with kindergarten and working our way up to 4th grade. Buy the time I got in there to eat lunch, my tart was gone but there was a nice note left telling me how good it was.—Dianna Wara, Washington, Illinois
“I love this recipe because I’m not super-confident about making pies," says Tonda Powell of McGehee, Arkansas, "but anyone can make a cobbler—and this one is truly delicious! It can be baking in the oven while you finish dinner…also great with blueberries or raspberries.”
