Color-Coded Containers

To keep the foods in my freezer organized, I use color-coded lids on my plastic freezer containers. I put green covers on containers of vegetables, red covers on meat and protein foods, and yellow covers on anything sweet. I also have white covers I use for items that don’t fit in those categories. This makes it easy for me to find what I’m looking for. If you don’t have different colored lids for your containers, use colored plastic tape to mark the lids. —Faye Hogenson, Gresham, Oregon
