Basic Cake Pop Recipe

Prepare and bake cake mix acording to package directions, using a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Cool completely.

Crumble cake into a large bowl. Add stir-in ingredients (ingredients which make the cake pops the type you wish); beat well. Shape by tablespoons into balls. Insert sticks. Freeze on baking sheets for at least 2 hours, or refrigerate for at least 3 hours. The cake balls should be firm and easy to handle.

Melt coating in a microwave and stir until smooth. Dip cake balls in coating; allow excess to drip off. Decorate as desired. Place on waxed paper; let stand until set. Store in an airtight container.
