Halloween Rice Krispies Treats Tips

How can you make witch hat Rice Krispies treats your own?

One of the easiest ways to customize this Rice Krispies recipe is to change the color of the frosting and the sprinkles. Try black frosting with purple or orange jimmies, orange frosting with purple jimmies, or purple frosting with orange or black jimmies. If you'd like to skip the black licorice, choose between piping thick buttercream or using M&M's or other candies to create the rim of the witch hat instead. If you want to reinvent the wheel, you can create three-dimensional witch hats from Rice Krispies treats. Simply mold the cereal mixture into a hat shape while it's still warm.

What other kinds of Halloween Rice Krispies treats can you make?

Witch hats are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to creating Halloween Rice Krispies treats. Incorporate festive colors and candies into the mixture, simply by adding a bit of food color to the melting marshmallows, and mixing in candy corn and orange M&Ms. Take it up a notch by creating different shapes from the treats, such as jack-o'-lanterns, Frankensteins, little monsters or ghosts. After that, you can frost or use melted chocolate to decorate them further. Pull inspiration from other Halloween foods and Halloween desserts.

How should you store Halloween Rice Krispies treats?
