Chocolate Martini Tips

Can you shake a chocolate martini instead of stirring?

Yes, this chocolate martini recipe can be shaken! Keep in mind that shaking a cocktail will affect the texture and mouthfeel of the drink as it aerates the liquids with tiny bubbles (and possibly pieces of ice, too).

How can you make this chocolate martini recipe your own?

Just as with cooking, you can customize your cocktails by adding the ingredients and flavors you love! Try using a flavored vodka (such as vanilla or cherry) for a fun twist, or adding a coffee liqueur for a mocha chocolate martini.

How can you garnish the martini glass with chocolate syrup?

Different types of chocolate syrup behave in their own way as a cocktail garnish. For example, a warmed hot fudge sauce drizzled over a chilled glass stays put when the cocktail is poured over, whereas a loose chocolate syrup may slide down the glass or even partially dissolve; each has its own charm! For a casual garnish, drizzle syrup with a spoon. For more precise garnishing, add chocolate syrup to a squeeze bottle or piping bag with a small round tip and pipe inside the glass. Make your own chocolate sauce for a special touch (and bragging rights).
