Ingredients

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1/4 cup apricot preserves
  • 1 round (16 ounces) Brie cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Assorted dippers

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°. Roll puff pastry into a 14-in. square. Spread preserves into a 4-1/2-in. circle in center of pastry; place cheese over preserves. Fold pastry around cheese; trim excess dough. Pinch edges to seal. Place seam side down on ungreased baking sheet. Beat egg and water; brush over pastry.
  2. Bake until puffed and golden brown, 20-25 minutes. Serve warm with crackers.
Baked Brie Tips

Do you have to cut off the rind before baking Brie?

No—in fact, it would be a shame to do so! Brie’s soft rind is completely edible. In fact, its creamy rind takes center stage in this cute snowman cheese board.

How can you make baked Brie in puff pastry your own?

Mix it up with your favorite flavor of jam, such as cherry, date or plum, and add a thin layer of sliced almonds before wrapping up the Brie. Cut the puff pastry scraps into decorative shapes with a small cookie cutter or paring knife, and attach them with the egg wash. Get inspiration from decorative pie crusts.

What else can you serve with baked Brie in puff pastry?

Other cheeses, candied pecans, crackers and sliced fresh fruits like apples are the perfect accompaniment to baked Brie.

How should you reheat leftovers of baked Brie in puff pastry?

Baked Brie tastes so good that you’re unlikely to have leftovers! In the event you do, though, reheat the Brie in an air fryer or oven for the best results. You could also microwave the Brie just until the cheese is warmed and softened, but the crust will not be as flaky.
