I make this recipe often - sometimes as a main dish, but by reducing the amount of beef and liquid, I can turn it into a side dish for picnics as well.

We love this and it's also a great way to recycle left over meat loaf. I make half the recipe for the 4 children when we are having chili.

I love this recipe. I usually cut the amount of ground beef in half and reduce the bouillon and water so it's more like a side dish than a main meal.

I have made this recipes many times since it first appeared in the magazine. My family loves it. My husband prefers it without the bacon. He is not a fan of the smokey flavor bacon puts in things. The kids and I like to put some shredded cheese on top and eat it with tortilla chips.

I cut the recipe in half since I wasn't having a party! Omitted the bacon and just cooked it on the stovetop. Much better than plain old baked beans out of a can.

I've made this several times and my family loves it. Can't say how it might be the next day because there are never any "left-overs".
