Very Chocolate Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup butter
  • 1-1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 4 cups (24 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips, divided
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions

  • In a large heavy saucepan, bring butter, sugar and water to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from the heat. Stir in 2 cups of chocolate chips until melted; cool slightly. Beat in vanilla. Cool
  • In a large bowl, beat eggs. Gradually add chocolate mixture until blended. Combine the flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to chocolate mixture and mix well. Stir in remaining chocolate chips.
  • Spread into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking pan. Bake at 325° for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Yield: 3 dozen.

I only recently started liking chocolate; I love to bake with it since so many people like it but I wasn't totally sure if it was good or not due to my lack of liking it. Anyway, these are exceptional. I could very easily eat the whole pan all by myself. If I could give them 10 stars, I would. :)
