When baking this chocolate chip cookie recipe, I am a stickler for using one stick of butter and one stick of margarine—the combination of fats gives the cookies terrific texture. And do not use a scooper—the tool compacts the cookies too much. —Lee Ann Miller, Millersburg, Ohio

I followed this recipe exactly. I used the 1 stick of butter and 1 stick of margarine, even though I never use margarine in cookies. I thought the cookies did not taste rich enough and felt like it was because of the missing butter. I also felt that 3 cups of chips were too many for this recipe. I have had better chocolate chip cookies, but these were okay.

I made these cookies and they were a Big Hit!! I did alter two ingredients, instead of pecans I used walnuts and I substituted the milk chocolate with dark chocolate and they were fantastic. The easiest to mix and best tasting chocolate chip cookies I've ever eaten!! Thank You so much for the recipe. I like the idea of changing up pudding mixes, could be very good.

I was intrigued by the vanilla pudding mix, and it was a definite plus. I followed this recipe exactly, and the cookies were incredible. Nice, soft consistency, great taste, and a nice touch using a combination of chocolate chips. This will be my new "go-to" choc. chip cookie recipe. I might even experiment with different puddings.... I'm thinking pistachio pudding mix with pistachio nuts and mini choc. chips..... Oh the possibilities!!!

These were great! Very soft and chewy. I decreased the chocolate chips dramatically- 3 cups was way too much.

This was a simple to make cookie recipe. It was average in taste. I would make it again with my daughter due to the ease. The cookies hold their shape nicely. I thought the combination of the butter and margarine was nice and mixed easily.
