Turkey Loaf Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1/4 cup egg substitute
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon rubbed sage
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery salt
  • 2 pounds lean ground turkey
  • 1 jar (12 ounces) fat-free turkey gravy, warmed

Directions

  • In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Crumble turkey over mixture and mix well. Press into a 9-in. x 5-in. loaf pan coated with cooking spray. Cover and bake at 350° for 65-70 minutes or until juices run clear. Serve with gravy. Yield: 8 servings.

Nutritional Analysis: One serving equals 207 calories, 10 g fat (3 g saturated fat), 90 mg cholesterol, 414 mg sodium, 6 g carbohydrate, 1 g fiber, 22 g protein. Diabetic Exchanges: 2 lean meat, 1 fat, 1/2 starch.
