Tuna Noodle Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup (Regular or 98% Fat Free)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimientos (optional)
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 cans (about 6 ounces each) tuna, drained
  • 2 cups medium egg noodles, cooked and drained
  • 2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted

Directions

  • Stir the soup, milk, pimientos, peas, tuna and noodles in a 1 1/2-quart casserole. Stir the bread crumbs and butter in a small bowl.
  • Bake the tuna mixture at 400°F. for 20 minutes or until hot and bubbling. Stir the tuna mixture. Sprinkle with the bread crumb mixture.
  • Bake for 5 minutes or until the bread crumb mixture is golden brown. Yield: 4 servings.

    Tip: This recipe is also great using Campbell's® Condensed Cream of Celery or 98% Fat Free Cream of Celery Soup.

This was really good. Next time I make it, I plan to add some diced onion, a touch of garlic powder (to taste), 1/4 cup of mozzarella cheese and 2-3 tbsp sour cream in the main mixture. With bread crumb and butter mixture, add some parmesan cheese for a bit of a kick. I also used herbed bread crumbs instead of plain. It was a nice touch. I did use cream of celery soup as that was what I had on hand. Tx

This is the standard Tuna Noodle Casserole we grew up with, minus the Pimentos.

We left out the pimientos because we don't like them, but that left the recipe quite bland. If I were to make it again, I would need to add something to make the recipe less boring.
