With a creamy frosting and crunchy topping, these rich three-layer brownie bars are a decadent treat. “They're a cinch to assemble, but irresistible,” Annmarie Savage attests from Skowhegan, Maine. “Whenever I make them for someone new, they always want the recipe.”

this is a great recipe! although I did make a couple changes, we don't often have cream cheese frosting on hand, so I took 1 (8oz.) cream cheese stirred until smooth and than added some powdered sugar and 1 container cool whip. I didn't add nuts either. These were great! definetly would make again!!

We love these Bars, only my recipe calls for Marshmellows in place of the cream cheese icing! (makes it not as rich) When brownies are almost done baking, spread an even layer of marshmellows on, let them melt, then put top layer on. (I do not use the nuts either)

Will make again, with a bit of a change: Half the amount of the frosting and topping. My husband has the biggest sweet tooth in the world! But even he said they were very good, but a little heavy. It was his suggestion to make again, but lighten the amount of toppings.

My husband isn't a huge fan of nuts in his food, so instead I added some Toffee bits. Very, very good.
